Airalo savings in fall

Fall 2026

Airalo regularly refreshes its official promotions, while the referral program and Airmoney remain separate ways to save. Rechargeable eSIMs support additional top-up packages.

How to apply an Airalo discount code

On the website, its guide says to sign in, choose an eSIM and select “Buy Now,” then use “Redeem Discount Code,” enter the code and select “Redeem.” For the app, the guide says to sign in and choose an eSIM, select “Buy Now,” open “Apply Code or Use Airmoney,” enter the code and select “Apply.”

Airalo’s code-redemption help article describes a website path through “Use Airmoney or code,” followed by “Code” and “Redeem.” Discount and referral codes use that same field in Airalo’s help instructions. A code copied from another tab may include an extra space. Removing a copied extra space and redeeming again may help distinguish a formatting issue from an eligibility issue.

Airalo says most of its discount codes are for new users who have yet to buy an eSIM, while some are for all users and purchases. A rejected code may be a first-purchase offer, an unsuitable code type, a plan-specific offer, or subject to another promotional restriction.

Referral savings and Airmoney rewards

Airalo’s referral program gives the new customer a discount on their first purchase and credits the referrer with the same amount in Airmoney after the qualifying purchase. Airalo maintains an official discounts and deals page, a referral program and loyalty cashback through Airmoney.

Only one discount method can be applied per purchase: a discount or referral code, or Airmoney. A code and Airmoney cannot be combined in the same order.

Airalo awards Airmoney cashback on eligible paid eSIM and top-up purchases. Payments made with Airmoney are excluded from the spending that advances loyalty status. The loyalty program excludes cashback when a discount coupon or referral reward is applied to the purchase.

Registered users enter Airalo’s loyalty program when they create an account. As members move up the levels, they can access exclusive promotions that help them reach the next tier. Membership status stays the same if Airmoney expires. The spending thresholds are linked to USD, so their equivalents in other currencies depend on exchange rates.

Airmoney is a reward currency earned through eSIM purchases, top-ups, referrals and promotional offers. Airmoney balances below $1.00 USD cannot be applied to a purchase, and renewals currently require a saved payment method instead of Airmoney. Airmoney can expire, but an eSIM purchase, including one paid with Airmoney, or a new Airmoney credit resets the expiration date by one year. Airalo sends email and push reminders about an approaching expiration; notifications need to be enabled to receive them.

Destination coverage and package details

You can search for a destination on Airalo’s website or app, or browse its countries and regions. For regional and global eSIMs, it specifically asks you to check that the destination is included in the coverage. An eSIM works only within its supported coverage area.

The data allowance is for the whole validity period, and a package can end when that period finishes or its data is used up.

Installation and activation timing

Airalo says the validity period begins when the eSIM activates. Most eSIMs activate when the installed eSIM connects to a supported network at the destination; some activate at installation, even outside their coverage area. To check the activation policy before purchase, use “Additional Information” and “Activation Policy,” according to Airalo’s expiration guide.

Airalo recommends installing as early as possible with a stable internet connection, after reading the package’s validity policy. For a plan that activates on installation, the validity period can begin before you reach the coverage area. For a plan that activates on connection in the coverage area, the validity period begins on arrival if you install outside that area.

Rechargeable eSIMs and top-ups

Only rechargeable eSIMs can be topped up. According to Airalo’s top-up help, rechargeability is listed under “Additional information” before purchase, and “Top up” is available under “My eSIMs” after purchase for rechargeable plans. A missing or unusable top-up button means the eSIM is non-rechargeable or its network carrier has changed.

Device compatibility and payment options

An Airalo eSIM requires an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked device. A Samsung Galaxy device likely supports eSIM if “Add eSIM” is available in SIM Manager, according to Airalo’s Android guide. Regional models and carrier configurations can affect support, so Airalo identifies the device manufacturer, vendor or primary carrier as the best source for confirming eSIM capability. It also provides a compatible-device list.

Airalo says its app may fail to work on a device it recognizes as jailbroken or rooted. Use another device for the app in that situation.

Airalo lists credit and debit cards, PayPal, Airmoney, Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment methods, plus Alipay through the mobile app. Apple Pay availability varies by country.

Connection troubleshooting after purchase

Airalo starts its connection checks with the eSIM’s coverage area and installation. Within the coverage area, it asks users to ensure the eSIM is on and selected for data. APN settings and data roaming are required for some eSIMs; network selection follows the networks and instructions provided for that eSIM.

Airalo for Business

Airalo for Business offers centralized eSIM management, organization billing and visibility into usage and expenses. Airalo describes assigning eSIMs to employees or enabling employee self-purchase billed to the organization. Its business platform also supports tracking usage and topping up eSIMs. Airalo lists reduced roaming costs among the benefits of its business platform.
