Scholastic Promo Code valid in October 2026

A Scholastic promo code gives an offer-specific discount on eligible books or resources through the shopping channel named in its terms. The Parent Store lets families shop for books, while Scholastic Education and Book Clubs offer separate routes for classroom purchases. Start with the offer's destination, then use the cart to see the promotion adjustment and estimated total.

This guide was last reviewed in fall 2026. The live coupons and prices listed above are updated automatically and take precedence over any example described in this guide.

How to apply a Scholastic coupon code

1. Open the Scholastic store named in the offer and add the eligible books or resources to your cart.
2. In the Parent Store cart, enter the code in Enter Promo Code and select APPLY before checkout.
3. Review the promotion adjustment, merchandise subtotal and estimated charges before submitting the order. A code entered in the field still needs to produce the expected adjustment in the cart.

For its online family free-item promotion, Book Clubs instructs customers to enter the code on its Review Your Cart page. Education Store codes are redeemed in the cart. Other Scholastic channels may use different wording or placement for the code field.

Which Scholastic store fits your order?

Teacher Store promotions are valid only for that store; its terms exclude Parent Store, Book Clubs, Magazines+ and in-school Book Fair orders. Parent Store promotional terms make their offers valid only at the Parent Store (The Scholastic Store) and not at Book Clubs.

Book Clubs has its own teacher-connected ordering and promotional structure. The destination matters more than a broad description such as a book, teacher or magazine coupon.

Why a Scholastic promo code may fail

A rejected code may have expired, cover different products or be intended for a different Scholastic store or customer group. Compare the code you entered with the original and remove extra spaces. The offer's validity dates and customer requirements determine when it can be used and who is eligible to use it.

Parent Store promotional terms exclude past purchases, subscriptions, Scholastic Professional products and eGift Card purchases. Teacher Store terms also exclude past purchases, subscriptions and eGift Card purchases. For minimum-order rules, see Order minimums and shipping eligibility; combination restrictions are covered in Combining offers and discounted books.

Order minimums and shipping eligibility

In the Parent and Teacher stores, promotions, discounts and gift codes apply to the merchandise subtotal before tax, shipping, handling and other fees. An offer may require a minimum spend or number of eligible books, as specified in its terms.

For Parent Store standard free shipping, the cart must contain only eligible books and reach the shipping minimum after promotions, discounts, coupons and gift codes, before taxes and other fees. An ineligible item makes the entire order ineligible for this shipping benefit. Scholastic's shipping help instructs customers to select FREE STANDARD SHIPPING (BOOKS) at checkout. Product eligibility appears in the cart or product details; book sets with non-book components and other excluded merchandise require particular attention.

The standard shipping benefit for eligible books may be available without a code. Book Fair presale shipping promotions can require eligible presale titles and a code. Book Clubs' current family free-item promotion requires a minimum family order, and its class-order incentive requires a minimum class order. Educator shipping offers may be limited to named products, such as eligible decodable collections, with usual charges on nonqualifying items.

Use the estimated order total to compare the merchandise adjustment with delivery charges. A reduced subtotal can change whether the cart reaches the shipping minimum.

Combining offers and discounted books

The Parent Store's promotional terms state that a promotion cannot be combined with other offers. An educator merchandise discount may pair with a designated shipping promotion when its terms permit that combination. Education Store merchandise promotions can exclude the educator welcome offer.

Sale items and Value Packs qualify for a coupon when its product rules include them. Compare the cart's resulting prices with the prices shown for the books or pack you want.

Classroom buying with Scholastic Education

Scholastic Education offers classroom resources, grade-level collections and tools for building a collection around a budget. Offer eligibility can differ for individual, classroom, school or district purchases.

Payment options at the Education Store include credit cards, purchase orders and bill-me-later options. Eligible schools and districts can use tax-exempt status through the appropriate purchasing setup. Tax-exempt status concerns the institutional order, while a coupon has its own eligibility requirements.

ClassroomsCount lets educators raise funds for classroom purchases. Its funds can be spent across Scholastic channels listed by the program, and qualifying fundraising levels can unlock additional Book Clubs, Teacher Store and Magazines+ offers during the program's reward window. The funds are a balance for purchases, distinct from a coupon entered in the cart.

Email offers, Value Packs and school benefits

The Parent Store advertises an email-signup discount for a first order, along with news of new arrivals and special deals. Scholastic has also advertised a discount on a refer-a-friend page.

The Parent Store and Book Clubs feature Value Packs and low-price book selections. Some Education Store promotions are reflected directly in the sale price, with no code needed. Compare these prices with the offers listed above.

A Class Code connects a family to its Book Clubs teacher. Through Book Clubs, every order earns rewards for your child's teacher to add books to the classroom library. Book Clubs also runs qualifying online family free-item promotions and class-order incentives; their requirements are described in Order minimums and shipping eligibility.

Scholastic states that 25% of each online Parent Store purchase linked to a participating school benefits the school during its Book Fair, and 2% throughout the year. The school receives that fundraising benefit. Scholastic's school-finding option connects the purchase to the participating school.

Unspent Book Fair eWallet funds remain in the eWallet after the Fair and can be used at future Fairs or to shop online with Scholastic, including Book Clubs. The eWallet funds never expire. Scholastic eGift credit may be used as a payment balance under its redemption terms.

Scholastic shopping in fall

Fall shopping at Scholastic brings Halloween books, new releases and classroom stock-up offers. The Parent Store's themed reading collections sit alongside its sale selections and Value Packs, while the Education Store has classroom resources and educator specials.

Book Clubs posts monthly teacher rewards and limited-time family or classroom promotions. Summer-reading and back-to-school collections also appear in Scholastic's shops. Choose books by reading level, format and classroom need, then compare the shopping routes in Which Scholastic store fits your order?.
