Which of these rows need a code? Every one except the points event. The percentage rows, the shipping row and the keychain row each release a code from the card, while the Bonus Points Event applies to a qualifying purchase on its own.

Can two of them ride on a single order? No. The combination table in the help center caps a qualifying online order at one web code, and the short list of what can sit beside it is set out in the next section.

Where does a threshold get measured? On merchandise, before shipping and tax. The dollar threshold has to be reached before shipping and taxes are calculated, so a basket that only clears $100 once delivery is added does not qualify.

The coupon rule at checkout

The help center sorts codes into four families and gives each the same headline limit: one percentage-off coupon, one percentage-off threshold coupon, one dollar-off coupon or one dollar-off threshold coupon per order, unless the offer says otherwise. What can stack around that code is a short list: My Place Rewards certificates issued before September 23, 2025, an MPR Discount taken from points, and a free shipping promotion when one is running. Everything else is ruled out by the same help page, including a site-wide percentage-off event, the associate discount and bulk purchases. The same page adds that promotions vary online, in store and by shipping destination, so a code seen in one channel promises nothing about the other.

Two mechanics then decide how much the code removes. A coupon is applied as a percentage discount on each item, so the reduction spreads across the basket and never sits on a single line, and a dollar threshold is read on merchandise before taxes and shipping enter the total. Both come back later: a return refunds the price paid after the discount, never the ticket price.

PLACE Bucks, earned then spent

PLACE Bucks are the store's own coupons, and they run on two separate calendars. In an earning period, a transaction of $20 or more in eligible merchandise produces one $10 PLACE Bucks coupon, and a double event turns the same $20 into two. There is no cap on how many you collect, the qualifying amount is counted after other discounts and before tax and shipping, and separate transactions cannot be added together to reach $20.

Spending them follows a rate of its own. One $10 coupon applies per $30 of eligible merchandise, so a $60 basket takes two, and the ceiling is twelve coupons on a single transaction. They arrive by email before the redemption period opens, they are one-time use, and they cannot run alongside a site-wide percentage-off event. In stores you show the coupon on your phone at checkout; online, the help center says the code is typed at checkout and, with more than one, they are entered individually with Apply after each.

One clause here is simple to overlook and costly. A transaction that involved PLACE Bucks does not qualify for a price adjustment, and returning merchandise from a qualifying purchase sends that total back for re-evaluation, which can reduce or void the coupons it earned.

Points and the dollars they become

The My Place Rewards membership page sets the structure. The program costs nothing to join and has three tiers, Insider, Stylist and Icon, moved by annual spend: $75 to $300 for the middle one and above $300 for the top. Credit cardmembers in good standing start at Stylist whatever they spend in a year. The earning-points page puts members at 1 point per $1 on eligible purchases and cardmembers at 2, with the eligible amount taken as the merchandise total after discounts, before taxes, shipping and any gift cards. Above the entry tier the account also picks up Personal Bonus Events, days the member chooses, and the bonus points page sets them at double points twice a Loyalty Year at Stylist, three times at Icon, and triple points on the same schedule for cardmembers.

The redemption page fixes the conversion: 100 points become a $5 MPR Discount at checkout, redeemable in $5 steps up to $50 in a single day. That discount then behaves unlike a coupon. It can go on sale and clearance items, it combines with most other offers unless an offer says otherwise, and it can sit on an order that also uses a merchandise credit. Points are spent oldest first, and an online order total has to stay above zero once the discount is applied.

Other perks hang off the same account. A birthday coupon lands in the month of a registered child's birthday, at 20% for members and 25% for credit cardholders, for up to four children aged 0 to 16, with each birthday registered at least four weeks ahead. The credit card page adds that first-time account holders get 30% off a first purchase, plus a further 20% welcome offer when the card itself arrives. The referral program pays in coupons on both sides: the friend receives $10 off a $40 order, good for seven days from the email, and the referrer receives the same coupon, good for thirty days, once that friend buys inside the window.

When a code comes back rejected

The help center publishes what it asks you to check before contacting anyone, and the list is specific enough to be useful. A code is not accepted before the promotion's start date, and it stops at 11:59 PM local time on the end date. Some codes carry a minimum purchase, a product exclusion or a brand exclusion written into the promotion disclaimer. Some are one-time use. Some work only when the My Place Rewards Credit Card is the payment method.

Two failures have nothing to do with the code. Certificates and MPR Discounts need you logged into the account before the order is placed, and coupons do not work on international orders. The same page notes that a code copied from an outside site may have been listed incorrectly or published after it expired.

There is also a mechanical detail behind the second attempt. Leaving the shopping bag or the checkout page after entering a code may mean re-entering it, and that reads on screen as a code that failed when nothing is wrong with it.

Adjustments, returns and delivery after a discount

The price adjustment is where a code can cost something later. The Children's Place gives one adjustment on full-price purchases only, within 7 days of the date shown on the printed or digital receipt, and it excludes final sale, sale and discounted merchandise along with third-party marketplace purchases. A code turns a full-price order into a discounted one, so that route closes the moment it is applied.

Returns follow the same logic. Eligible merchandise goes back within 45 days of the purchase date, unwashed, unaltered and unworn, with original price tags and a printed, gift or digital receipt, and in the country where it was bought. Clearance items and anything marked final sale are not returnable at all, which is the condition attached to clearance pricing.

Delivery sits on thresholds of its own. Free standard shipping applies above a stated order minimum, measured on merchandise before taxes and shipping costs, and orders under that minimum carry a flat-rate fee; sending an order to a store for pickup earns its own percentage reduction above a higher minimum.
