Who is Hughes?

Hughes is a UK-based retailer of electricals. The brand has been around for over a hundred years as it was founded in 1921. It originally started out as a family business when Frank Hughes started the company after serving in WW1. The business is based out of Lowestoft with the first shop opening in 1928. Now, it's run by the third generation and has expanded through the county. There are now 22 shops in East Anglia alongside five service centres.

The company really focuses on the locals, aiming to give its customers exactly what they want. To that end, Hughes is very careful to offer a price guarantee match, making sure to adhere to this no matter the product. Hughes is also very much involved in local events, helping to keep the world a more environmentally place while supporting various fundraisers.

The company is also a winner, having earned the Retailer of the Year and Innovative Electrical Retailing awards in 2022.
