Iberia Promo Code valid in October 2026

Two parts of Iberia's sales calendar matter to anyone pricing a seat across the Atlantic to Madrid, Rome or Seville. One is Black Friday, an event the airline says it takes part in every year with lower ticket prices and special offers; the other is ongoing: sale fares posted on Iberia's own offer pages, from cheap flights listed by destination to deals sorted by month of travel. An Iberia promo code is a separate saving: a single-use discount typed in at the payment step, subject to the conditions that come with it.

Iberia fares for fall and the holiday season

Updated for fall 2026. Fall on Iberia's calendar is the stretch that holds its Black Friday flight sale, which the airline publishes on a Black Friday page of its own. Its advice for that sale is to settle on a destination beforehand and to book early, since in its words the best deals usually sell out quickly, and it points to its pre-booking service as a way to hold a fare while the rest of the trip is decided.

The holiday weeks are a different case. Iberia lists Christmas among its usual peak periods, next to Easter and the school breaks, and its tips for a cheaper ticket favor dates outside those weeks, booked well ahead. Bookings open a full calendar year in advance, so a search made this fall already reaches next spring and summer.

Early word and holiday gifts: Iberia Club members are promised the first word on Iberia's Black Friday flight offers and early access to its promotions. For presents, Iberia sells gift cards year-round and runs promotions with discounts on them at points during the year.

How an Iberia discount code works at the payment step

Iberia describes its promotional codes as an immediate discount on a flight purchase, either a percentage or a set amount taken off the total, and each one can be used once. On Iberia's discount page the same codes also appear as discount vouchers; the refund voucher is a different product, covered further down.

The codes come from several places. Iberia names its newsletter, its social media accounts and Iberia Club, and adds that a purchase on Iberia.com may bring a discount on later flights. Organizers of trade fairs, conferences and similar events where Iberia is a collaborating airline are another source: they send attendees an Iberia discount code together with the accreditation. That code applies to the full fare on Iberia's own fixed-date flights, doesn't combine with other discounts such as Avios, and has to be entered before the payment goes through for the discount to apply.

Iberia's instructions place the code at the end of the booking: once the flight is chosen and the payment page opens, it is typed into the space provided for it exactly as issued, capital letters, lowercase letters and special characters included, and then applied, after which the new total shows with the discount already taken off. Each code also comes with conditions of its own, on top of Iberia's general terms for promotions.

As a general rule, a code covers any Iberia ticket apart from those on the Madrid-Barcelona Air Shuttle. It doesn't apply to vacation packages, meaning Flight + Hotel and Flight + Car bookings, or to tickets paid entirely in Avios, while a fare paid partly in cash and partly in Avios can still take one.

Lower Iberia fares, fare types and holding a price

The fares Iberia displays on its home page come from recent customer searches, include taxes, fees and carrier charges, and can vary with availability when the booking is made. Among the tips on its cheap-flights page for landing a lower one: book as far ahead as possible, since the cheapest fares sell out as a flight fills up; shift the trip by a day or two, since the search also shows prices for the surrounding days; and buy the outbound and return flights together, which usually costs less than booking them separately. The Iberia app sells tickets too, and special offers are among the features Iberia lists for it.

Each fare carries its own terms. Iberia sells economy under several fares, Basic and Flexible among them, and calls Basic the cheapest; seat selection, checked bags, changes and refunds differ from one fare to the next, and, as Iberia describes the search, clicking a fare opens its conditions. Restricted fares, according to Iberia, are usually the lowest and generally allow changes or refunds only with a penalty, or not at all. A bag added online also costs less than one added at the airport, by Iberia's account.

Holding a fare: Iberia's pre-booking service keeps a price for 24 hours at no cost, or for 72 hours against a deposit that comes off the final price if the ticket is bought. Iberia says that the option appears while the passenger details are being filled in, that the pre-booking has to be made at least five days before the first flight, and that the service is not yet offered in every country.

Stopover Hola Madrid: time in Madrid at no extra ticket cost

Stopover Hola Madrid lets a traveler break an international trip in Madrid, from one day up to nine nights, without paying more for the ticket, and Iberia offers it on most of its routes. The ticket has to connect in Madrid on the way to or from one of Iberia's international destinations, one of the flights has to be long-haul, and the stay goes on either the outbound or the return leg. The Stopover option is selected in Iberia's flight search.

The program also carries discounts in the city. Iberia lists special prices with partner businesses in Madrid on hotels, transportation tickets, excursions, museums, musicals and restaurants, and the welcome pack handed out at the Stopover Hola Madrid stand, in the arrivals area of Madrid-Barajas airport, includes a public transit card that is free for the first two days. Some partner services have to be booked in advance, a condition marked on each experience.

Iberia Club, Avios and the Family account

Iberia Club is free to join with an email address and a password, and it runs on two kinds of points: Avios, which pay for flights or take money off them, and Elite Points, which move a member up the program's levels. Avios build up on flights with Iberia and partner airlines and on everyday spending with the program's partner brands.

Two uses of Avios bear directly on the fare. Iberia sets aside a limited number of seats on each flight that only Club members can buy with Avios. When a balance falls short of a full ticket, Iberia says its purchase process offers a discount on the fare for the Avios available.

Iberia also runs offers and promotions that it presents as reserved for Iberia Club members. The Family account pools the Avios of two to seven people with active Iberia Club accounts into one balance, with no age or relationship requirement for joining. Members commit to at least twelve months, leaving earlier only for a justified reason, and the administrator is the one who adds or removes people.

Iberia Flight + Hotel and Flight + Car packages

Iberia's vacation packages pair the flights with a hotel or a rental car in a single booking, and each one includes a checked bag per person on top of a carry-on bag and a personal item. A package can be secured with a small deposit and paid off in installments of any size, provided the final payment is made at least three weeks before departure.

Iberia refund vouchers and gift cards

An Iberia refund voucher holds the value of a ticket that was not flown. It can be requested when the flexible-ticket option was bought with the booking, or in certain cases when a flight was disrupted for reasons outside Iberia's control; the request goes through the booking management area, and the voucher is sent by email, one per ticket. The balance pays for purchases on Iberia.com, in one booking or across several, and up to nine vouchers from the same booking can be combined into one. Vacation packages are the exception: a refund voucher covers a Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car booking only when it was issued for an earlier package of that kind.

An Iberia gift card is bought for an amount the buyer picks, with a choice of design, and sent by email or printed to hand over. Iberia's instructions have the recipient enter its code on the payment screen, where the balance comes off the price; whatever is left stays available for later purchases on Iberia.com. The validity of a card can depend on the promotion it was bought under.

Discoup points on an Iberia booking

Iberia is part of Discoup Rewards, the points program shown on the rewards card of this page. For points to count, the traveler signs in on Discoup, accepts cookies on both sites and starts the booking from one of the offers listed above; a purchase made directly on Iberia's site, without passing through Discoup, earns no points. Points are counted on the net amount, before taxes and extra fees, and on travel bookings they unlock only once the trip has actually been taken.

Two exclusions in the program's terms matter on an airline ticket: a booking that uses a code obtained anywhere other than Discoup collects no points, and neither does one settled partly or fully by gift card.
