Travelocity does not set the standard rates on what it sells: its terms of service leave those rates to the travel supplier and describe prices as dynamic, so the same room can read differently from one search to the next, and a code is rarely the thing that moves the number. One thing that does move it is whether the site knows who you are: Member Prices land on the search results themselves, with nothing to redeem and nothing to type, and the same terms say they appear only to an account that is signed in. Codes exist here too, but they are the narrow route, and they arrive with a long list of conditions attached.

What Travelocity put on sale in fall 2026
Travelocity's home and deals pages and the offer cards above, read in fall 2026. Both pages carried the same banner: a fall sale on select stays, flights, packages and more, open to members who sign in.
The sale's fine print kept two calendars. Bookings were set to close in the first week of October 2026, while the stays themselves could fall anywhere up to the end of March 2027. The same fine print limited the discount to select properties and said availability was limited and blackout periods might apply.
Among the cards on this page in early fall 2026, the ones not labeled as coupons needed no code, including member discounts, all-inclusive trips, last-minute deals marked for members only, a bundle billed at final prices, price ceilings on rooms and vacation packages, and pages built around beach and nature trips, top-rated stays or free cancellation. The ones labeled as coupons did carry a code, each tied to an account step: joining as a member, or subscribing. Which of them is running on the day you book, and until when, shows on the cards at the top.
Three things to settle before you book
Are you signed in? On this site that question comes before any question about codes. Travelocity's terms of service state that Member Prices are available to an account that is signed in, on selected properties, activities, cars and flights and on selected dates only, and that the site shows them automatically, with nothing for you to enter. Searching while logged out means the figure you are comparing may not be the figure you could have paid.
Is what you want covered at all? The savings here attach to specific inventory. Travelocity's member offer terms say the discounts reach selected hotels, that blackout periods may apply and that a minimum stay may be required, so an offer that reads as a headline is in practice a filter over a subset of properties.
Are you reading the total or the rate? The brand's terms of service put the tax arithmetic ahead of the discount: taxes and tax recovery charges are generally worked out on the price as displayed, before coupons, discounts and rewards come off it, unless the jurisdiction the booking falls under counts those as a reduction in the price. In the ordinary case, then, a percentage comes off the displayed price while the taxes are still worked out on the full price, so it takes a smaller share of the total than the headline suggests, and ranking two trips by the size of their headline cut can put them in the wrong order.
What a Member Price actually is
Section 14 of Travelocity's terms of service sets out how the member discount works. Member Prices, it says, are available if you are signed in to your account when browsing the website, when searching for travel on certain search engines, and on the app. Nothing is redeemed and nothing is entered: the site simply shows a signed-in account a different number, marked where it applies.
The same section sets the limits. Member Prices appear on selected properties, activities, cars and flights, on selected dates only, and only where they are applicable to the search you have run. Travelocity states plainly that they are liable to change at any time, which is why a rate seen on Monday is not a rate you are owed on Friday.
One detail in that section deserves to travel with you into any comparison. Where a Member Price sits beside a struck-out price, Travelocity says the crossed-out figure is its own then-current standard rate on the website or app, as determined and supplied by the travel supplier. The saving is measured against Travelocity's own shelf price, not against what the hotel or the airline charges somewhere else, so a large percentage is a statement about that shelf rather than about the market.
The account itself costs nothing. The site carries a standing invitation to create a free one, and the member offer pages restrict those discounts to members and app users who are logged in. Whatever else you take from this page, signing in to that account is the step that opens Member Prices.
Putting a code on a Travelocity booking
Build the booking first. Choose the hotel or the package, then follow the booking through to the payment page, because that is where Travelocity's own help article on using a coupon places the step. The description that follows is the brand's rather than ours: it puts a coupon option on that page, lets you either type a code or pick one already saved to your account, and asks you to apply the code before it counts for anything.

The field is the easy part. Whether a code then takes anything off is decided by the rules Travelocity points to on its coupons page, which the next section goes through.
Two structural points come from the terms Travelocity publishes with its coupons, and both are easier to know before you start than after. A coupon there is deemed fully redeemed once a qualifying booking has been made, and it cannot be used a second time even if that booking is changed or canceled afterward. And those terms cover pre-paid bookings rather than reservations settled at the destination, so a room you intend to pay for on arrival sits outside the mechanism entirely.
Why a Travelocity code gets turned down
The causes of refusal here are in print, beside the coupon on Travelocity's own coupons page. Its terms name five constraints to check first, and none of them is about spelling.
The first is combination. Those terms say a code may not be used or combined with other coupons, promotions or special offers, which on this site has teeth: a member rate or a sale price is already a promotion, and Travelocity shows those automatically to a signed-in account wherever they apply.
The second is the shape of the booking. The coupon is attached to a stand-alone booking of a single type rather than to a hotel bought in combination with a flight or a car, so the same code that works on a room can be refused on the package that contains the same room.
The third is timing. A coupon cannot be used for a booking previously made, which is the published reason a code found after paying will not be dropped onto the reservation later.
The fourth is what a discount is allowed to reach. Taxes, supplier fees, cancellation and change fees, administrative fees and other miscellaneous charges are excluded from what the coupon reduces. A trip whose price is mostly made of those will barely move even when the code is accepted.
The fifth catches families. Those terms apply the coupon against the first room only where an eligible booking includes more than one, and the instructions printed above them rule multi-room bookings out altogether. Smaller conditions sit alongside these, among them that the coupon carries no cash value and leaves no credit behind if the booking costs less than the discount, and that its use is limited to legal residents of the United States aged eighteen and over.
The savings that never ask for a code
The larger part of the discounting here happens with no code involved at all, and it works whether or not you ever open a code field. A sale on the brand's own pages can be member-only: in fall 2026 its deals page carried a seasonal event for signed-in members across stays, flights, packages and more on selected properties, with limited availability and blackout periods written into the same terms. There is nothing to redeem, and therefore nothing to lose by not having one.
The member offer pages add a condition that changes how those figures should be read. Prices shown there already include the promotional discount and are quoted per room on the basis of two people sharing a room. The headline you are comparing is a two-person rate, which means a solo traveler reading the same number is reading someone else's arithmetic.
Filtering is the other route. Several cards on this page are links that narrow the search, with no deduction attached: a category of hotels, a run of seasonal deals, or a set of results that sit under a stated price. Some name a price you stay under, for rooms or for packages. Nothing comes off; the search is narrowed.
Booking the pieces together
Bundling is one of the levers here where the savings come from the shape of the booking itself. Travelocity sells flight and hotel, and flight, hotel and car, as a single booking, so the figure to compare is the one on the whole trip rather than the one on either half of it.
Bundling has a catch where codes are concerned. The terms published with Travelocity's own coupon attached it to a stand-alone booking and left out a hotel bought in combination with a flight or a car, while the brand's help on using a coupon walks through the same payment step for a hotel or a package alike and sends you to each coupon's own rules for the rest. Whether your code travels onto a package is settled by that coupon and not by the package, and it is cheaper to read the answer before you build the booking than after.
Package headlines carry their own footnotes on the deals pages, and they are the kind that change the number: figures quoted per person for a stated travel period, based on twin share of the lowest priced room type and the lowest available airfare, hotel taxes included and other fees possible. Read them before treating a package headline as the sum you will hand over.
What the app is worth on price
On this site the app is more than a convenience feature: it is a surface where the member discount exists. Travelocity's terms name the app beside the website as a place a signed-in account is shown Member Prices, and its member offer terms restrict those offers to members and app users who are logged in. Booking from a phone while signed out gets you neither.
The brand has also pointed a coupon at the app specifically. The one published on its own coupons page was restricted to bookings made in the app, a reminder that where you book can settle whether a code is eligible before anything about the trip does.
The app strip that runs along the foot of Travelocity's pages sells it on other things: alerts about flight status and gate numbers, travel details you can reach even when you are offline, and messaging the hotel from inside the app. Those three are useful once the booking exists and make no difference to what it cost. Its own app page does put saving among the reasons it gives, naming discounts on select hotels, so the divide is not quite as clean as that.
The refund that behaves like a discount
Travelocity's guarantees page carries a different kind of saving from the cards above: a promise to refund the difference if the same booking turns up cheaper. The brand states it as the lowest price or your money back, and it sets the window by product. Flights, cars and cruises have to be raised within a day of booking. On hotels the offer runs up until the day before the stay.
Beyond those windows, two conditions decide whether it is usable in practice. The claim goes through a price match application form on that page, and Travelocity requires an image of the lower price for the claim to be eligible. That makes it a habit to build: take the screenshot the moment you see the cheaper price, because without it the route closes.
The cancellation half of the same page matters for the same reason. Travelocity says it will never charge a cancellation fee on hotels, and that free cancellation options exist on most of them, including cancellation up to a day before the stay on a large number of properties across the country. It also says plainly that some hotels ask for more notice than that, and points you to the property's own detail page to find out which. A flexible rate that costs slightly more can be the cheaper booking once plans move, and here the platform is not the part charging you to change your mind.
The discounts Travelocity says it does not run
A page about saving money is more useful when it also closes the doors that are shut. Travelocity's help center answers the service question directly and in the negative: it does not offer military or bereavement discounts, though some airlines do, and it tells travelers to contact the airline about those fares and to keep in mind that booking with the airline directly may be the only way to get them.
The instruction the brand attaches to that answer is the part to keep. It asks you to compare the discounted fare against its own rates before assuming the service discount wins. An airline fare carrying a service discount is not automatically the cheaper booking, particularly against a signed-in member rate or a package that prices the flight and the room together. The comparison is the work, and a discount is only one of the numbers in it.
Questions readers ask about Travelocity savings
What does a free Travelocity account actually buy me?
A different set of prices on the results page. The brand's terms describe the benefit as a price shown to a signed-in account on selected inventory, and its offer pages restrict member discounts to members and app users who are logged in.
Will I see Member Prices if I arrive from a search engine?
Sometimes, and only while you are signed in. Travelocity's terms name three places those prices appear to a signed-in account: while browsing the website, while searching for travel on certain search engines, and on the app. The qualifier there is the brand's own, so treat the search engine route as a possibility rather than a guarantee.
What if the coupon is worth more than my booking?
Nothing is carried forward. The published coupon terms state that a code has no cash value and that no credit is issued when the purchase costs less than the discount. The unused portion simply disappears, which is an argument for spending a large coupon on the larger of two trips.
Are there hotels a Travelocity coupon will not work on?
There have been. The coupon Travelocity published on its own coupons page listed a long roster of hotel groups it could not be redeemed against, and it noted that the list of qualifying properties may change at any time. Anyone counting on a code for a particular chain should read the exclusions before booking rather than at checkout.
The price I saw yesterday has moved. Can I hold Travelocity to it?
Not on the member side. Travelocity writes that Member Prices are liable to change at any time and are shown only where they apply to the search you have run. The one route that looks backwards is the price match promise on the guarantees page, and it compares your booking against a lower price you can evidence rather than against an older screen.
