You are usually here with a date already fixed: a service on Thursday, a hospital room, a doorstep two time zones away that needs a bouquet before Friday. At FTD the discount and the delivery charge sit on two different lines, and a percentage code only moves the first one. An offer can therefore read well where you choose the bouquet and land flat where you pay. What follows shows where the code goes, what makes a total refuse to drop, and which savings route is worth paying for once you order more than once a year. The quickest route stays the codes listed at the start, just above this text.
This guide was last reviewed in August 2026. The live coupons and prices listed above are updated automatically and take precedence over any example described in this guide.

How far an FTD promo code goes in August 2026
Checked in August 2026. Everything named below was read off the offer boxes at that pass and then left as written, so use it to get your bearings and let the boxes at the top of the page settle what is running now and how long it lasts.
One piece of FTD's own pricing explains most of the arithmetic that follows. Its delivery policy treats standard shipping and delivery as a charge in its own right, quoted from a published starting figure and moving with the delivery location, the shipping time and the calendar day. Two carts carrying the same percentage can therefore finish at different totals.
Read off the offer boxes at the August 2026 check
- Up to 27% off — coupon code — takes its share off eligible items in the catalog, never off the delivery and service line — the card carries its own closing date
- A flat $15 off an order — coupon code — a fixed credit rather than a share, so it bites hardest on a small cart — how long it lasts is written into the listing
- 50% off sale-priced items — no code to type — the markdown is already inside the shelf price on the sale selection — the listing shows the run dates
- 15% off the plants collection — no code to type — limited to the plants range rather than the wider catalog — the end date sits on the card
- A year of free standard delivery — membership deal, sold for the flat annual fee named on the card — attaches to a signed-in account, with international, guaranteed-early, weekend-carrier and holiday deliveries left out — the card states when the offer closes
- 25% off for AARP members — membership offer — needs a current AARP membership and will not sit on top of another discount — the closing date travels with the listing
Each line above is a pointer rather than the offer itself. FTD writes its conditions per promotion instead of once for the whole site, so the listing beside an offer is where you confirm that the arrangement in your cart qualifies, whether anything has to be typed at all, and when it stops working.
The trap inside this month's list. The two largest numbers above do not add up to one saving. The half-price line sits on sale-priced stock, while the member rate under it is calculated on standard retail prices, which FTD's published terms say do not include sale prices. Choosing the deeper of the two is the whole decision, and no arrangement of the cart collects both.
Where the calendar turns next. FTD builds its promotions around occasions rather than one national peak, and its occasions menu has already left summer behind: Labor Day and Grandparents Day are the two it lists for early September, with sympathy, thank-you and just-because orders carrying the weeks after them. Deeper offers tend to surface as each of those dates gets close, so a gift with a flexible delivery date is worth holding until the menu turns over.
Three things buyers are weighing this month
Does the biggest percentage always win? Not on this catalog. The share comes off the flowers, plants and gifts, while the delivery and service charge stays where it is, so a fixed credit on an order whose delivery is already covered can beat a larger percentage on one where it is not. Judge the figure on the payment screen.
Is there a code that makes delivery free? What FTD publishes for free standard delivery is its annual membership rather than a standing code, and that membership is itself one of the deals sitting in the boxes above. Whether a delivery-related promotion is also running this week is exactly what those boxes answer.
Why did FTD's own coupons page hand me a link? Because the offer it is running there is carried in the link: the button opens a preselected range with the promotion already attached, so there is no string to copy anywhere.
Where FTD puts the promo code box
FTD sets the sequence out on its customer service pages, and it is short.
- Pick the arrangement first, then its size, its options and the delivery date, because price and eligibility both follow those choices.
- Open checkout and move to the payment or delivery step, which is where the promotion field lives.
- Enter the code in the field labeled Promo or gift card and press Apply.
- Watch the order total redraw. The amount comes off there, and that redraw is the only confirmation worth trusting.

There is one wrinkle to know about first: that single field takes promotions and gift cards alike. FTD's own instructions for redeeming a gift card send you to the same box and ask for a 16-digit number, so the two compete for one slot and a card entered while you meant a coupon comes back looking like a dead code.
If your saving comes from a membership rather than from a string, sign in before you build the cart. The membership terms state plainly that the benefits reach only items bought after you log in to the account holding them, and that purchases made without an active membership are not reimbursed afterward.[1]
When the total refuses to drop
A refusal here usually has a named cause rather than a technical one. Rule them out in this order.
You are trying to collect two discounts at once. Where FTD writes the rule out in full, in the fine print under its member offers, the wording is flat: discounts cannot be combined, and a promotion will not sit alongside another promotion, a gift certificate, a coupon, a discount or a partner program. The second entry replaces the first instead of adding to it.
The saving landed, but not on the part you were watching. Member pricing is calculated on standard retail prices and, by those same published terms, is not applied to product customizations such as vases and add-ons, nor to service, shipping, delivery, care and handling fees or taxes. A cart holding a vase upgrade and a fast delivery starts out with much of its total already beyond the reach of any percentage.
The offer never needed a code. Part of what FTD publishes is attached to a link or already inside the shelf price. Nothing has to be pasted in those cases, and testing strings against them only produces refusals.
What reached the field is not quite the code. The comparison is character for character, so an invisible space dragged along with the copy will sink it as surely as a capital O standing in for a zero. Copying beats retyping, and one look at the field before you confirm costs nothing.
The delivery charge, and what actually removes it
Nothing catches first-time buyers more often than the delivery line, because it is not folded into the price of the bouquet. FTD's delivery policy quotes standard shipping and delivery from a published starting figure and says outright that the amount varies with the delivery location, the shipping time and the calendar day.[2] Its customer service pages describe what the money buys: the costs of delivering and servicing the gift, which for a florist-filled order means the local shop that assembles it and carries it to the door.
The route FTD documents for removing that line is its own membership, FTD Plus. It is paid once, runs for one year from the day it is purchased or activated, and covers standard shipping and delivery on eligible orders inside that year. The membership page lists two things as what you get: free delivery, and access to member-only savings. FTD's own summary of the value is that a few orders cover the fee.
The carve-outs are written into the membership terms and are worth reading before you count on it. Deliveries outside the United States, Canada and Mexico still carry a shipping fee, quoted before you confirm.[1] Guaranteed early delivery can add a charge of its own. Weekend deliveries sent through a national carrier may cost extra, though the service fee is waived on florist-filled orders delivered on a weekend. Holiday delivery fees can apply too, and FTD undertakes to show every one of them on the final checkout page before submission. If a cart mixes eligible and ineligible items, the charge on the ineligible half stands.
On whether a membership and a coupon can work together, FTD answers on the membership page itself: coupons may be used alongside the membership.[3] Its membership terms then draw one boundary around that answer, ruling out partner and affiliate promotions, credit card and other membership programs, and loyalty directories from combining with the free-delivery benefit. The clean pairing is a plain FTD coupon rather than a partner rate.
Which saving route wins for you
The honest answer turns on how many times a year you send something, and on how much of your total is delivery rather than flowers.
| Route | What it costs | What it moves | The condition that decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coupon or promo code | Nothing | The price of the eligible items in the cart | One discount at a time, and the fee lines stay outside it |
| FTD Plus membership | A flat annual fee, paid up front | Standard shipping and delivery for a year of eligible orders | Only attaches to orders placed while signed in; international, guaranteed-early, weekend-carrier and holiday deliveries stay chargeable |
| Partner member pricing | Holding the partner membership itself | A set share off standard retail prices | Excludes sale prices, customizations and fees, and does not combine with anything else |
| Sale and category offers | Nothing | The shelf price, before you reach the promotion field | Nothing to type, so nothing to combine; the cut is already in the listed price |
For a single gift, the arithmetic is short: take whichever line above leaves the smaller number on the payment screen. Past a handful of shipments in a year the balance shifts, because the delivery charge is the part a code never touches and the membership is the part that removes it.
Pricing that rides on a membership card
Two partner programs have landing pages of their own on FTD, and both work on the shelf price rather than waiting at the promotion field.
- AARP members get a set share off flowers, plants and gifts, with a deeper rate on a curated Choice Collection released by a code typed at checkout. The same page offers members a reduced annual price on FTD Plus, applied during checkout rather than claimed afterward.[4]
- USAA members and customers shop a curated Perks collection where part of the saving is built into the prices displayed and a code adds the rest at checkout.
Read the wording attached to each before assuming the rate reaches your cart. Both are worked out on standard retail prices, which the published terms say do not include sale prices; neither one touches product customizations or the fee lines; quantities can be limited; and neither combines with another offer. The AARP page adds that member benefits of this kind are supplied by outside providers rather than by the association itself, so the conditions can move independently of the card in your wallet.
Saving with nothing to type
A fair share of what FTD discounts never passes through the promotion field at all.
- FTD keeps a coupons page of its own, and what sits there is usually released by a button that opens a preselected range with the offer already attached to the link.
- Occasion and category pages carry their own reduced ranges, and sale stock is marked down before the cart. A sale arrangement paid at standard delivery can beat a percentage taken off a full-price one.
- FTD's footer carries a newsletter box, and joining it brings the rotating offers to you instead of the other way round. Do that in a quiet week, not on the afternoon the flowers have to leave.
- Discoup points sit on top of all of this. Sign in here before you click through and an FTD order adds points to your balance, the way a small cashback would, whichever code or member rate paid for the bouquet.
Cutoffs, windows and the freshness promise
FTD reaches almost all of the United States and Canada through local florists, and across most of that footprint an order placed as late as 2 p.m. in the recipient's time zone can still arrive the same day. Earlier cutoffs apply in some areas and around weekends and holidays, so the recipient's address sets the real deadline, not yours.
A delivery time cannot be booked. Partner florists work funerals first, then hospitals, then businesses, then homes, and the published windows are wide to match: roughly 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at a business address and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at a home, stretching to 9 p.m. over holidays. Funeral arrangements need extra lead time, and if nobody answers at a home the driver may leave the arrangement for the recipient or come back the next day.
The promise at the other end is the one to remember: fresh flowers and plants are guaranteed to last seven days, and FTD asks you to raise any problem inside that window so it can arrange a fresh re-delivery or a full refund.[5] Keep the order number on hand. Changes and cancellations are taken up to the point of delivery through the chat window or the phone line, and that line is staffed around the clock.
FTD voucher codes, membership and delivery: common questions
Does an FTD Plus membership renew on its own?
It does not. FTD states that the membership runs for one calendar year from the date you join and has to be renewed by hand from the membership page. Once it lapses you keep the account, the order history and the saved addresses, but not the free delivery.
If I cancel FTD Plus partway through, do I get anything back?
No portion of the annual fee is refunded on cancellation, and canceling runs through a call to customer service rather than through the account area.[1] FTD does commit in the other direction: if it withdraws the program itself, it either honors the benefits to the end of your term or refunds the unused share of the fee.
Can someone else order on my membership?
Memberships are for individual use, cannot be transferred or assigned, and are not intended for group orders or for anything bought to resell. Members also have to be at least 18 and keep their account details accurate and current.
Does FTD deliver outside the United States?
It sends flowers to more than 125 countries through a separate international shop, and an order placed by 2 p.m. Eastern can usually be delivered the next business day.[6] One caveat for members: the free-delivery benefit stops at the United States, Canada and Mexico, and a shipping fee is quoted before checkout beyond those.
What if the arrangement does not look like the photo?
Partner florists build each order to a recipe and stay as close to the picture as the day's stock allows, under a substitution policy that permits changes when something is unavailable. If the result disappoints you or the recipient, saying so gets you a fresh re-delivery or a full refund.
Can I change the address after the order has shipped?
On parcels handled by a national carrier, FTD's delivery policy warns that altering the delivery address once the order has shipped may add a charge, so an error caught before dispatch is the cheaper one.
Will the order land exactly on the date I chose?
Carrier shipments may arrive on or before the selected date, and deliveries into colleges, universities and hospitals can take longer than the same address would elsewhere. Live tracking also drops out for florist deliveries during peak holiday weeks, so an empty tracker in that stretch is not in itself a sign of trouble.
