The active Click&Boat discount codes are listed above. We check them and remove any code as soon as it expires. Most take a fixed amount or a percentage off your booking, usually above a minimum spend. Below you’ll find how to apply a code and what to check if it’s rejected. We also explain what the discount actually reduces, then the savings available without a code, from owner promotions to paying in two instalments.
How to use a Click&Boat coupon code
You apply a Click&Boat discount code while booking, before you pay, so copy the code before you start. First, choose your destination and dates, pick a boat and start the booking from its listing. Second, in the booking summary, open the "Add a promotional code" field, paste the code and confirm it. Third, check the price breakdown: the discount must show in the total before you enter your card details. Finally, complete the payment page, where you can also add options such as the Weather Guarantee or travel insurance, and send your request.
The third step matters because, in most cases, a discount that doesn’t show in the summary won’t be added afterwards. If you change dates, duration or boat after entering the code, check the total again. A code with a minimum spend may stop applying if the new booking falls below the threshold.
Click&Boat promo code not working? Common mistakes
When a code is rejected, the cause is usually in its conditions rather than a fault on the site. These checks solve most cases:
- Expiry date: Click&Boat codes often last only a few days or weeks, so check the date shown next to the offer.
- Minimum spend: many codes only apply above a set booking value, and higher-value codes usually require a larger booking.
- Eligible boats, destinations and dates: a code limited to certain listings, periods or categories, such as day trips, won’t work on other bookings.
- Typing errors: a missing character or a space before or after the code is enough for it to be rejected, so paste it rather than type it.
- One code per booking: as a rule only one code can be used, so if you have two, choose the one that takes more off your total.
Take a typical case: a code with a minimum spend may be rejected on a half-day trip that falls below the threshold, yet work on a full day on the same boat. If everything checks out and the code still isn’t accepted, contact Click&Boat customer support through the help centre before paying, with the code and your booking details to hand.
What your Click&Boat voucher code covers (and what it doesn’t)
To understand how much you really save, it helps to know what the price is made of. The amount shown on a listing includes three items: the boat rental, the Click&Boat commission and the Click&Boat service fees. Promo codes issued by Click&Boat come off the platform’s share. The owner receives the same amount as without the code, and the price you agree with them doesn’t change.
Some costs sit outside that price, and your discount doesn’t reduce them. Fuel and cleaning are usually paid directly to the owner at the harbour on the first day, unless the listing says otherwise. Extras such as a skipper or water toys can be paid online or on site, depending on the owner, and mooring fees are generally not included either. This is why a boat with a lower listed price can cost more overall than a similar one if fuel and cleaning are charged on top. Compare the full cost of the trip, not just the listed price, after reading each listing’s description and conditions.
Click&Boat deals without a code
Many savings on Click&Boat don’t need a code, because owners set them directly on their listings to fill their calendars. An owner can offer a discount for booking well in advance, a last-minute reduction for dates still free, a lower rate for rentals of two days or more, or a custom promotion.
When a listing has more than one of these promotions, they add up on the same booking. A three-day trip booked months ahead, for example, can benefit from both the early booking discount and the multi-day discount if the owner offers both. Owner promotions are already built into the listing price, while a discount code is entered separately at checkout. Whether the two combine depends on the code’s conditions, so the booking summary is the place to confirm the final figure.
The search filters let you show only boats with an active promotion or with flexible cancellation terms. Click&Boat also groups discounted boats, many of them last-minute, in its deals section.
Other ways to save on Click&Boat
Besides published promotions, you can negotiate directly. Before sending a booking request, you can message the owner through the platform. Owners can reply with a personalised offer, setting dates, times and price for your trip. This works best when the owner has a reason to agree: a longer booking, a quieter week or dates that would otherwise stay empty. A request for a full week outside the busiest period, for example, gives the owner a concrete reason to quote below the standard rate.
The Click&Boat app lets you search, book and manage your trip on the go. Click&Boat has promoted app-only offers in the past, so check the app before booking.
If a short trip is cancelled because of bad weather, part of the refund may come back as a voucher for a future booking. The FAQ below explains how it works. That voucher works as credit towards your next trip.
When to find the best Click&Boat discount codes
Codes follow the boating season. New codes and promotions tend to appear from late spring, when most people plan their summer, and towards the end of summer, to fill late-season dates. In the colder months they are generally less frequent.
Timing also affects owner promotions. Booking early in the year gives you the widest choice of boats and access to early booking discounts. Later in the season, the savings come mainly from last-minute deals, although with fewer boats to choose from. Since codes change often, check this page just before you pay so you use the most recent offer.
Paying for your Click&Boat booking: methods and instalments
You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Bookings made further ahead can also be paid by bank transfer. If your trip starts more than 15 days after you book, the payment page usually lets you split the cost into two instalments at no extra charge. This spreads a large booking over time without the fees some pay-later services may charge. Depending on where you are, PayPal may also offer its own instalment options when you’re redirected to it.
With a bank transfer, the booking is only confirmed once Click&Boat receives the money, which can take up to five working days. For busy dates, paying by card is the quicker way to secure the boat. Some pay-later methods are limited to certain currencies or regions: the payment page shows which options are available for your booking.
Extra Insights
For two codes of similar value, the choice depends on your booking total. A fixed-amount code is usually better on smaller bookings, a percentage code on larger ones. For example, £20 off is worth more than 5% on a £300 booking, because 5% comes to £15. On an £800 booking the opposite is true, because 5% comes to £40. The same logic applies to codes with tiered thresholds: the higher discounts are designed for longer or more expensive rentals. If a code’s value is expressed in another currency, the amount to check is the converted figure in your booking summary.
Most Click&Boat boats are rented by the boat, not per person. The cost per head therefore drops as the group grows, up to the maximum capacity shown on the listing. Prices are set by owners and often vary by period, so checking the days just before and after your preferred dates can lower the total on the same boat.
If you also use a cashback or rewards scheme, read its terms before booking. Many exclude bookings that use a discount code not published by the scheme itself, so you may need to choose between the code and the cashback. Compare which one gives the bigger saving on your booking.
Click&Boat FAQs
If I cancel my Click&Boat booking, how much do I get back?
It depends on the cancellation policy the owner has chosen, shown on each listing. With Flexible, you get a full refund up to 24 hours before departure. With Moderate, you get 70% back up to 10 days before. With Strict, you get 60% back up to 30 days before. Professional owners may set their own terms. In every case, if you cancel, the service fees and commission are not refunded.
Can I change my dates instead of cancelling?
Yes, if the owner agrees. Message them through the platform and ask whether they can move your booking. Click&Boat recommends doing this when possible, because postponing usually avoids cancellation charges.
What happens if bad weather cancels my trip?
For trips of one day or less, you get the rental amount back if there’s an official weather warning, or if the owner agrees that sailing isn’t safe. Without the Weather Guarantee, the service fees and commission come back as a voucher for a future booking, valid for the period stated in the email you receive; with professional owners, their own terms apply. With the guarantee, added at payment and available for day trips up to a set booking value, the booking amount, service fees and commission are refunded to the card you paid with.
Can I insure my booking against cancellation?
Yes. On the payment page you can add cancellation insurance, or a wider policy that also covers assistance and repatriation. Both are offered through Click&Boat’s insurance partner, and the policy details shown at payment explain which events are covered and who is insured.
Do I have to pay a security deposit?
The deposit amount is listed in the conditions section of each listing. With private owners, Click&Boat places a hold on your card that is only charged if there’s a damage claim. Professional owners handle their own deposit, by card hold or cheque.
Can I protect my deposit against damage?
You can add Damage Waiver cover, which reimburses the deposit you would lose in the event of damage. You can choose it at checkout or add it after booking, up to 24 hours before departure, for deposits within the range shown when you book.
When will my card be charged?
Only once the owner accepts your booking request. If they decline it or the request expires, you’re not charged. Any temporary hold on your card is released automatically, although it can take a few days to disappear from your statement.
Is there a Click&Boat student or NHS discount?
At the time of writing, Click&Boat doesn’t publish an official discount programme for students or NHS staff. The most reliable ways to save are the active codes on this page and the promotions owners set on their listings.
Is there a discount for first-time customers?
Click&Boat doesn’t offer a standard welcome discount for new customers. Some codes are reserved for first bookings: when they are, the offer details say so, together with the minimum spend and expiry date.
Do I need a boating licence to rent?
It depends on the destination, the type of boat and the owner’s rules. Click&Boat lists many boats you can hire without a licence. Where one is required, you can book a boat with a professional skipper on board instead.
