Discoup collects verified discount codes, voucher codes and offers for hundreds of UK retailers, from eBay and Currys to high street names in fashion, home and travel. The codes live in the list at the top of this page and change through the day. What follows is the part that decides whether you actually save: where the box is at checkout, which kinds of code exist, and why a voucher gets rejected.

Where to enter a discount code

First things first: Discoup is not a shop. We provide the discount codes, vouchers and offers, and then you are taken through to the retailer's website. The code goes into the retailer's basket or checkout, never into Discoup.

Start by opening the offer, where the conditions and the expiry date are set out. Get Code puts the voucher on your clipboard; Get Offer means the reduction rides on the link and there is nothing to type. Once you are on the retailer's site, add your items to the basket and look for the field marked Discount Code, Promo Code or Voucher, paste it in and apply it. The reduction has to appear in your order summary before you pay: the total you can see at that moment is the total you will be charged.

On a phone that field is often tucked away. Many retailers put it inside the final order summary, behind a drop-down called something like "Voucher / Discount Code", on the last screen before payment. If you cannot see it straight away, open that section before giving up on the code.

Discount code or automatic offer

This is where most people get stuck, and the distinction is simple: not every promotion needs a code you paste. Some are triggered by the link itself.

A useful rule of thumb during sale periods: when a product is already reduced, the automatic offer usually beats the general code, because most retailers will not let a voucher sit on top of an existing markdown.

Why your voucher is rejected

When a code will not apply, it is rarely a glitch. The checkout is enforcing a rule, and the error message usually names it. Four reasons cover almost every case.

It cannot be used alongside other offers. If your basket already holds sale or clearance items, retailers often block a second reduction. Try a basket of full-price items only.

Minimum spend. The threshold is frequently measured on the eligible subtotal rather than the total you are looking at, so a basket that seems to qualify may not. Adding one clearly eligible item often settles it.

Exclusions. Clearance lines, specific brands, gift cards, electricals, app-only deals: if it is in the small print, the checkout will refuse the voucher however carefully you copied it.

Account and expiry. Plenty of codes are limited to new customers, or to one use per account, or need you to be signed in. Others run for hours rather than days.

Free delivery, student and first-order codes

Percentage codes get the attention, but on a typical UK basket they are not always the ones that save the most.

Free delivery codes earn their keep on smaller orders. On a £25 basket, removing £4.99 of postage beats a 10% code, and it beats it again if the retailer's own free-delivery threshold sits well above what you meant to spend. Worth checking before you add filler items just to reach that threshold.

Student and blue light discounts work differently from a normal voucher: they usually need verification through the retailer's own scheme, and once verified the discount is attached to your account rather than to a code you paste. Where a retailer runs one, it is often deeper than the public offer and it stacks with nothing else.

First-order codes are the most generous and the most restricted. They apply once per customer, they are usually void if you have ordered before with the same email or address, and on some sites they exclude the very brands you were planning to buy. Read the condition before you build the basket around the code.

Finding the code for a particular shop

If you already know the retailer, go straight to its page. That is where the live codes sit, with their conditions and expiry dates, and it is the only place that keeps pace with the retailer's own campaigns. This guide explains the mechanics; the code that works today is there.
