West Marine participates in the Discoup points program.

Fall boating purchases at West Marine

Reviewed in fall 2026.

For fall boat-maintenance shopping, West Marine has winterization categories including antifreeze and shrink wrap.

West Marine maintains sale and clearance categories, a special-offer area and a rebate directory. Text-message signup can provide a discount on a qualifying next order and early access to promotions and new product launches.

West Advantage membership earns points from qualified merchandise purchases, and Reward Certificates are used toward future qualified purchases.

Redeeming codes at checkout

A West Marine promo code may be entered at checkout.

West Marine’s online terms say taxes and shipping and handling charges are itemized in the shopping cart and order confirmation email.

Full shipping costs may be shown before payment.

West Marine’s West Advantage FAQ describes entering a Reward Certificate code at checkout for online redemption.

The cards at the top list codes and offers.

Sale, clearance and price matching

Clearance means permanently marked-down merchandise under West Marine’s pricing policy.

Those clearance, closeout, discontinued and special-purchase offers are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last.

Yellow DOT items may remain excluded from additional promotions and coupons unless expressly included.

West Marine advertises a price match guarantee for qualifying identical products at local retail stores within its price-match window.

Its pricing policy also guarantees the lowest advertised or posted price for an in-store purchase.

The price-match exclusions include coupon offers, clearance offers, loyalty offers and rebates.

West Advantage and BoatUS membership

According to West Marine’s rewards page, Silver is free and Gold requires annual dues; they earn 1% and 4% back, respectively, on eligible purchases.

Silver members receive $5 Reward Certificates for every $500 in eligible spending; Gold members receive $10 for every $250.

West Advantage Reward Certificates are earned from qualifying merchandise purchases and redeemed toward future qualifying purchases.

West Advantage membership is for individuals purchasing through West Marine’s retail stores, by phone or online.

According to West Marine’s rewards page, Silver includes members-only sales and events; Gold offers exclusive member events and promotions, access to a basic BoatUS membership and optional upgraded towing packages.

BoatUS membership may also bring automatic enrollment in West Advantage Gold Rewards.

The BoatUS number matches the West Advantage Gold member number, and members who do not renew within 30 days after expiration revert to Silver under West Marine’s terms.

Reward Certificates exclude prior purchases, non-merchandise purchases, gift cards, associate-priced purchases, West Marine Pro purchases, taxes, shipping and handling, and payments toward credit card, insurance, financing or other non-merchandise services.

Certificates are single-use and have no cash value; no change is given, and they expire 3 months after issue or on the date stated on the certificate, whichever is sooner.

Volume discounts for qualifying retail orders

West Marine offers a Volume Discount Program with New Boat Owner and Outfitting options for qualifying retail purchases.

The Volume Discount Program requires West Advantage membership and a minimum qualifying spend in a single transaction.

The New Boat Owner option also requires proof of boat registration and is valid for one qualifying transaction.

West Marine associates are ineligible, and membership is limited to one per customer, per boat.

Volume Discount Program coupons cannot be combined with other coupons or offers, are limited to one per customer per day, and do not apply to previous purchases or gift cards.

Sale-priced products, discontinued products and products listed as excluded neither count toward the threshold nor receive the discount, with further exclusions for PLUS Plan extended warranties, memberships, services and specified brands and products.

The discount applies to qualifying merchandise rather than taxes, shipping, handling or similar processing charges.

Shipping and store pickup

West Marine’s shipping page says free standard shipping may apply when an order meets its minimum purchase requirement.

Clearance and special items are excluded from that free standard shipping offer.

West Marine’s shipping page says Ships Fast orders typically ship the same day when placed before its shipping cutoff; later orders are processed the next business day.

West Marine’s shipping page says free ship-to-store delivery may be available, with pickup usually ready within several business days.

West Marine’s pickup FAQ says most eligible pickup orders may be ready the same day when placed early enough before the local store closes; later orders may be ready the following business day.

West Marine’s pickup FAQ says stores may hold pickup orders for a few days and advises contacting the store if more time is needed.

West Marine Pro account pricing

West Marine Pro serves marine businesses and uses account access for pricing.

Purchases through a Pro account do not earn West Advantage points or certificates.

Returns, gift cards and payment holds

West Marine’s returns policy allows a return within 60 days for an exchange or refund if a customer is dissatisfied with a product.

Refunds to the original payment method require proof of purchase, original packaging and new condition; West Advantage members’ purchases do not require a receipt for a refund or replacement.

Nonreturnable categories include customized products, gas, electric and trolling motors, registered items (boats, EPIRBs, PLBs, Class B AIS units and life rafts), appliances, air conditioners, generators and previously installed products.

West Marine’s gift-card terms allow online purchases only by credit card, exclude Reward Certificate payment and prohibit discount coupons on gift-card purchases.

West Marine’s ordering help describes a pending credit-card charge as an authorization hold, with the card not charged until the order ships or is ready for store pickup.

A pending authorization may differ from the eventual settled charge.
