Backcountry's seasonal events run on their own end dates, published on the sale pages themselves, and those dates move independently of the cards. Read the conditions on the card you plan to use rather than assuming two discounts will stack on the same order, because the store writes exclusions into most of them.

The fee renews automatically every twelve months unless you turn that off in your account.

The birthday gift is the part that rewards a little planning. Backcountry says the code arrives by email in your birthday month, is single-use, and applies to your whole cart, with the excluded brands and categories named in the fine print of that email. If a large purchase can wait for that month, it is worth knowing that a code applying to the whole cart is a different animal from a percentage attached to selected stock.

The cash back is worth reading closely, because it behaves differently from the price match.
