Singles' Day takes place on 11th November, but do you know the important meaning of this event? It is a holiday that originated in China in the 1990s to celebrate the pride of being single. Four students from Nanjing University chose a day that could be dedicated to all singles. The date 11.11 was chosen for its symbolism, as it consists of four 1s. This date in fact symbolizes every single person.
