Anyone pricing a Tempur-Pedic mattress usually checks two or three sellers before deciding, and the figure has a habit of not moving much between them. That is deliberate: the brand publishes a pricing promise saying its own site carries the same pricing you will find at its authorized retailers, while the terms attached to its promotions restrict those promotions to orders placed directly with Tempur-Pedic. The price, in other words, is not really the variable. What varies is which promotion an order qualifies for, and whether the protections you were counting on still come attached to it.
This guide was last reviewed in September 2026. The live coupons and prices listed above are updated automatically and take precedence over any example described in this guide.

The September 2026 offers and their scope
Treat this block as dated material: it describes how the September 2026 list was put together, not a rule with a longer life than the month itself. Two shapes account for nearly all of it. Some cards carry a code that goes into the cart by hand, and the rest are reductions the site works out by itself once the qualifying items are sitting together in one order. Which of the two you are looking at tells you more than the figure printed across it, because the second kind is where most of the mattress money sits.
Scope is the other thing to read before the figure. Tempur-Pedic writes its terms per promotion instead of sitewide, and the exclusions are unusually specific: an accessories credit that skips both the compressed mattress and the previous-generation closeout models, a bundle price that only triggers on two of the same pillow, a bedding percentage that names the individual pillow models it will not touch. A card that looks broad from the outside is usually narrower once its own terms are open.
One clause runs through almost every set of terms and is worth carrying into the cart: everything that qualifies has to sit in one order, and nothing reaches back to a purchase already placed or an order still pending. That single line accounts for more disappointed shoppers here than expired codes do.
What the September 2026 list holds, one row for each kind of offer above:
- Percentage codes — promo code — they run from 10% up to 40% depending on the card, while the dollar codes tend to hang off named products instead of the catalog
- Pillows and bedding — bundles apply themselves, some percentages want a code — bundle pricing wakes up only when two of the same pillow are in the cart
- Free shipping and free White Glove delivery — no code — standing rather than seasonal, and the delivery terms decide who actually receives them
- Promotional financing — an application, no code involved — rate, term and minimum purchase all come from the card issuer
- Mattress and base sets — no code, worked out in the cart — the deepest dollar savings on the list, scoped to named collections and specific base models
- Accessories credit with a mattress — promo code typed into the cart — the mattress and the accessories have to travel on one order, and the closeout and compressed models are excluded
- Email sign-up discount — code delivered by email — the same figure sits on the sign-up band of the site itself, which is the cheaper place to look
Every row here answers to a card, never to a claim of ours. Where one of these rows and the offers listed above disagree, the row is what has aged: cards turn over by themselves, and a written page sits still until somebody reviews it.
Why a promotion stops at the retailer door
The offers page states the pricing promise in a single line: pricing on the brand's own site is the same pricing you will find at Tempur-Pedic authorized retailers. Read alone, that makes the choice of seller sound irrelevant. The offer terms say something quite different.
Nearly every promotion the brand publishes repeats the same qualifying clause. The offer is good for orders placed directly with Tempur-Pedic, through its website, its flagship stores or its direct-order telephone sales, and it is expressly not valid on purchases made at third-party retail stores. So the figure quoted to you in a furniture showroom is the figure the brand expects to be quoted there, but the accessories credit, the instant gift and the percentage promotions do not travel with it.
Three further clauses sit in almost every set of terms, and between them they explain most of the savings that never appear:
- One order, not two. The qualifying items have to be in the same order before the offer will compute at all.
- Nothing retroactive. Offers are not valid on previous purchases, and not on an order that is already pending.
- Stacking is decided per offer. Some sets of terms rule out combining at all; some allow financing to sit on top; some exclude only other credits of the same value. The terms attached to the specific card are the ones that settle it.
Putting a code on a Tempur-Pedic order
Tempur-Pedic publishes the sequence itself, as three steps in its help center, and the wording below is the brand's rather than ours.
- Build the cart first. Add the mattress, base, pillows or bedding you actually intend to buy, in the sizes you want, because almost every offer is scoped to named products, and no code reaches past the list it was written for.
- Type the code out by hand instead of pasting it. The help center describes the code field as the "Enter a Promo Code" box, and two separate articles use that same name, the second of them recommending manual typing when a code is not registering. That is worth trying first on any code that arrived after a product registration.
- Apply it, then read the order total again before going any further. The help center puts it as clicking "Apply" once the code is entered, and it is explicit that the items in the cart have to meet the requirements set out in the offer terms before the code will attach.
One situation deserves a step of its own. On a buy-one-get-one pillow offer, both qualifying items must already be in the cart before the code will activate, so a code entered against a single pillow looks broken when it is merely early.
When the code comes back refused
The help center sorts the failures into four cases, headed there as "Code Not Valid", "Cart Does Not Qualify", "Expired Code" and "Code Used". Each one calls for a different response rather than another run at the same string:
- The code is not valid. Usually a mistyped character, which is exactly why the brand suggests entering codes by hand.
- The cart does not qualify. The offer wants a quantity, or a product that is not in the cart yet. Opening the offer terms is faster than guessing at it.
- The code has expired. Its window has closed, and re-entering it will not reopen one.
- The code has already been used. Single-use codes do not run twice, which is the usual explanation on the registration codes that arrive by email.
Two practical notes come from the same pages. Tempur-Pedic asks people to check the browser and the connection when a checkout will not take a code at all, and it points them at its support team instead of at a workaround. And where the promotion is one of the automatic ones, there is no code to repair: the cart either meets the terms or it does not.
The savings that ask for no code
Most of the money that comes off a Tempur-Pedic order never passes through a code field at all. Four routes are documented on official pages, and no two of them behave alike:
- The offers page. The brand states that every promotion it is running is published there, and that where an offer has a set end date it sits in the details link beside that offer. It is also the page the help center sends people to when they ask what is available.
- Email sign-up. Signing up for alerts carries a welcome discount on pillows and sheets, advertised on the sign-up band of the site itself. The code arrives by email, so this is a route with a short wait built into it.
- Closeout mattresses. Previous-generation models are sold on the site at a reduced price, and that reduction needs nothing typed in. What it costs you is the subject of the next section.
- Promotional financing. The financing page offers a pre-qualification check that the brand says will not affect your credit score, with promotional terms on purchases above a minimum the issuer sets. It spreads a price rather than lowering one.
Discoup points sit beside all four instead of competing with any of them. This brand takes part, so an order you start from this page while signed in earns points on your Discoup account, and those build up across every store you shop here rather than being locked to one.
What a cheaper route quietly gives up
Buying direct at list price still brings three things, each of them written down on a Tempur-Pedic service page, and together they are the reason the lowest line on an invoice is not automatically the best one.
- The 90-Night Sleep Trial. The return policy page sets it out for mattresses, asks that you sleep on the mattress for at least 30 nights first, and ends in a refund less the return shipping fee where the brand cannot resolve the problem another way. The ActiveBreeze smart bed sleep system is covered too.
- The 10-Year Limited Warranty. The warranty page lists it for current mattresses and flat foundations, alongside separate terms that run to 25 years on the power bases and much shorter ones on pillows, bed linens and accessories.
- Free White Glove delivery. The shipping page offers it within the continental United States on orders that include a mattress, foundation or power base, with in-room setup, packing materials taken away, and the old mattress and box spring removed if you ask.
Now hold the discounted routes against that list. Closeout mattresses keep the 10-year warranty, but the brand states plainly that they cannot be returned or exchanged and do not qualify for the sleep trial, and the closeout page repeats the point as all sales final. Foundations and power bases are not returnable whatever you paid for them. Pillows, bed linens, toppers, bed frames and the office chair come back only when they arrive damaged or prove defective. The compressed mattress that ships by courier is outside the White Glove service by design, so no in-room setup and no old mattress carried out.
None of that makes the cheaper route a mistake. It makes it a different purchase, and the trial is the part most shoppers assume travels with the price.
Military buyers and the exchange route
This is the question the brand answers most directly, and the answer arrives in two halves that are easy to keep apart.
On first responders, Tempur-Pedic states in its help center that it does not offer first responder discounts. That is the brand talking about its own program, so anything advertised elsewhere under that name is not coming from here.
On military, the brand says it works with the military exchanges and supplies products through them directly, that those exchanges hold discounted pricing for military personnel, and that buying there is what it recommends. Then it adds the clause that changes the arithmetic: an exchange purchase includes its warranties, but it does not include the 90-night trial. The exchange route is cheaper and shorter on exactly the term that lets you change your mind, which on a mattress is not a small thing to give away.
Two neighboring answers live on the same pages and save a phone call. The brand says it is not aware of the Department of Veterans Affairs ever purchasing mattresses directly for consumers, though it has supplied VA hospitals, and it sends questions to the local VA prosthetics department. On insurance it declines to generalize at all and refers you to your own insurer.
Delivery charges that outlast the discount
The offers page lists free shipping among the things you get for buying direct, and for most addresses that is how it behaves: pillows, bed linens, toppers and the smaller home and office products go out by ground courier at no charge inside the contiguous United States, and the compressed mattress travels the same way.
Past that footprint the shipping page sets out charges rather than a blanket free rate. They are billed per order instead of per item, with a separate rate for toppers, and addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US territories fall into that bracket. The compressed mattress is not shipped outside the contiguous states at all. White Glove delivery follows the same logic: free within the continental United States on a qualifying bed order, and for remote locations and the non-continental states a surcharge plus a scheduling window measured in weeks rather than days. Military post addresses can receive packages, but not mattresses, foundations, frames or power bases.
Two smaller conditions catch people out. The brand does not ship to PO boxes, and someone 18 or older has to be at home to sign for a bed delivery, or the crew cannot leave it. Both turn a good discount into a rescheduled week, and both are stated on the shipping page rather than at checkout.
Questions that come up before checkout
Can I buy a Tempur-Pedic gift card?
Not as a product. The help center says the brand does not offer gift cards at this time. What does exist is the other direction: some promotions pay out in a promotional gift card, and the brand states that one arrives in the mail after redemption rather than coming off the total at checkout, with a wait measured in weeks. So a gift offer is a later payout, not a smaller total today.
Will Tempur-Pedic take my old mattress as a trade-in?
There is no trade-in credit. The help center is direct about it, saying there is no trade-in program at this time. The thing that does happen to the old mattress is a delivery service and not a discount: on a qualifying bed order with White Glove delivery, the crew will take away the old mattress and box spring if you ask them to when the delivery is being scheduled.
Does Tempur-Pedic price match another seller?
It does not. The brand states that it does not price match, and adds that its retailers may run different policies and promotions from time to time, so their promotional pricing can differ from its own. Put next to the pricing promise, the picture is consistent enough: the list price should follow you between authorized sellers, while a promotion may not, and neither one gets matched on request.
How often do the offers change, and where is the end date?
Frequently, by the brand's own account. It says its offers and promotions tend to change often but will always be updated on its offers page, and that where an offer has a set time frame or end date, that date is published in the details link belonging to that specific offer. Email alerts exist for exactly that reason, and the listings on this page follow the same turnover.
Is registering my mattress worth doing?
For the paperwork, yes. Registration keeps a record of the purchase date, model, size and serial number from the law tag, which is what a warranty claim asks for later. There is a second reason worth mentioning carefully: the help center's troubleshooting refers to a buy-one-get-one code received after registering a mattress, so registration is at least sometimes a route to a promotion as well as an archive.
