What kind of discounts does LG offer?

Here is what LG discounting really looks like, drawn from 134 promotions tracked over the last two years.

    54%46%
Up to X is a ceiling: the maximum saving you could reach on a qualifying selection, not a cut applied to every item in your cart. Defined discount is a fixed deal you can count on — for example $10 off your order or 20% off a specific product or service, with the amount known up front.
Most LG savings are up to offers, at 54%, while the remaining 46% are defined deals with a set value.

Treat up to deals as a best-case cap, then look at the fine print to see what actually applies to your order.

A French door refrigerator and a 65-inch OLED leave the same warehouse under the same set of rules, and the rule that decides the price is not the one most people go looking for. LG runs a separate sign-in-only version of its store, the LG Partner Store, where the published guarantee is a year-round minimum of an additional 10% off LG-branded appliances and electronics, or an additional 15% off LG STUDIO and LG SIGNATURE appliances, measured against LG.com sale prices, and the way in is an employer email address or an identity check rather than a string typed into the cart. That is where the costly mistake starts. An hour goes into hunting for a code worth a few percent on one item, while the account that would have put a floor under both of those prices sits ten minutes away behind a sign-up form. The second half of the mistake arrives later, at the curb, when the free delivery on a washer turns out to stop at the end of the driveway.

This guide was last reviewed in August 2026. The live coupons and prices listed above are updated automatically and take precedence over any example described in this guide.

LG promo codes in August 2026: narrow codes, broad programs

The reading below was taken on August 30, 2026. It describes the board as it stood that morning and it ages at exactly the speed of that board, which rotates on a schedule of its own and does not wait for a review date. One pattern is worth stating plainly, because it comes back every month: the offers that ask for a code are mostly narrow, aimed at one accessory or one model or one screen size, while the offers that ask for nothing typed at all tend to attach to a category, to a season or to a verified account.

What the August 2026 list is carrying, one row per kind of offer above:

    • 20% on a first order — promo code — two cards of this shape were live at once, both scoped to a first purchase, and both run out in the first days of September on their own terms.
    • 20% on a projector remote control — promo code — a single-accessory scope, which is how a headline percentage can be true and still worth very little on the wrong cart.
    • A fixed cut on one OLED evo M series television — promo code, single model — the largest figure on the coded side of the list and the narrowest target on it.
    • Fixed cuts on monitors — promo codes — one aimed at a single model, one at a flash sale on a selection, and they are alternatives rather than a pair.
    • 10% storewide — promo code — a scope that covers the catalog rather than one product, which makes it the one to test against the narrow ones rather than to use instead of them.
    • An extra 5% on two or more monitors or laptops — a quantity rule rather than a product one, carried under a back-to-school heading.
    • Labor Day pricing on home appliances — no code — the deepest range on the board and the one with a fixed end date rather than a rolling one.
    • 10% for medical personnel, for the military, and for students and teachers — cards of this kind sit in more than one place on the board, and what LG checks at the door is a verified account.
    • Free shipping, and free haul-away — no code — services rather than discounts, and the haul-away has to be selected while the order is being placed.

Read the two halves of that list against each other and the arithmetic of the month is clear. A narrow code can beat a broad one on the exact item it was written for and be worth nothing on the item next to it, so the useful comparison is never between the two percentages but between one percentage and the cart it has to land on. The dates, the exact figures and the conditions belong to the cards at the top, which are maintained separately from this text, and LG's own offers pages move on the same independent schedule.

    lg deal

The sign-in-only store and the two ways in

The LG Partner Store is not a coupon. It is a second storefront with its own prices, and LG describes what you get inside it in contractual terms rather than promotional ones: a guaranteed year-round minimum of an additional 10% off LG-branded home appliances and electronics, or an additional 15% off LG STUDIO and LG SIGNATURE home appliances, in both cases compared against LG.com sale prices. LG puts the scope at more than 800 appliances and electronics. A guaranteed floor is a different instrument from a percentage that expires: it does not run out at the end of the month, and it applies whether or not anything else is running.

There are two doors and they lead to the same place. The first is an employer email address: LG says eligibility is determined by your employer email or your group affiliation, so if the company you work for is a partner, signing up with the work address is the whole process. The second is identity verification, and LG routes it through ID.me. Anyone affiliated with the military, government, healthcare or education can verify that way instead, and LG lists the groups it recognizes: first responders, medical providers, nurses, hospital employees, military and veterans, teachers, students and government employees. Verification through ID.me costs nothing, and LG states that returning members simply sign in after that, without repeating the check.

The same gate carries a second name on LG's own site. The LG Appreciation Program is how the identity route is presented to shoppers who arrive looking for a nurse or teacher discount, and its own page sends verified members to the Partner Store to shop. Its published benefits line up with the Partner Store's: free installation on refrigerators, cooking ranges and laundry, including select LG STUDIO and LG SIGNATURE appliances, and a best-price guarantee stated as a minimum of 10% against LG.com sale prices. If you have been looking for a separate student discount or a separate military discount, that is the reason you could not find one. There is a single gated store, and the identity check is one of the keys to it.

What comes with membership is worth reading before you assume it is only about the headline percentage. LG lists free installation all year on select LG OLED televisions and on all refrigerators, laundry and cooking ranges, with the caveat that the Installation Service has to be chosen during checkout rather than added later. It lists free shipping on every order, delivery to a room of your choice with installation and haul-away selectable at checkout, in-store pickup on selected monitors, and manufacturer warranty coverage of one year on LG and LG SIGNATURE products and two years on LG STUDIO products. There is a ceiling on the whole arrangement that is easy to miss: LG states that a Partner Store member may buy up to 100 items per year, and that category limits apply on top of that.

Points LG treats as a payment method

The MyLG Rewards program is free to join and the conversion is published rather than variable: LG states that every 100 points equals one dollar toward your next purchase of an eligible product. Points accrue on LG.com purchases automatically, and LG says they also come from referring friends and from other routes it adds over time. The member ceiling is stated as up to 20% back in rewards on eligible products from what LG calls its hottest categories.

One line in LG's own answers matters more than the earning rate, and it explains why this program belongs beside the code box instead of behind it. LG describes MyLG Rewards as a cash voucher for LG.com, and says on that basis that you can use it together with other promotions by applying the credit to your payment at checkout. A balance that behaves like payment, and not like a discount, does not compete with whatever is running on the cart. It sits underneath it.

Two conditions shape when the balance is actually usable. LG says points appear only after the return period on the purchase has passed, and describes that wait in weeks rather than days, so points earned on an appliance are not available for the accessory you buy the same afternoon. They also have an end date, which is unusual enough in a loyalty program to be worth knowing in advance rather than discovering on a balance page.

    lg rewards

Above the free tier sits the MyLG Ownership Program, which is a paid annual membership rather than a loyalty program, and which LG sells in two versions. The cheaper one adds 5% back in reward points on every purchase, free installation and access to a support line for members; the more expensive one adds in-person maintenance visits and further discounts on repair work. Both carry a two-year limited manufacturer warranty on eligible LG.com purchases made after you enroll, which is to say the warranty does not cover anything already in the house, and LG offers that same two-year cover to holders of the free account who download its ThinQ app and register the product. LG restricts the maintenance side to refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers, describes the membership as renewing itself annually, and offers a full refund within the first month provided no benefit has been used yet. The current annual figures are on LG's program page, which is where they change.

Separately from all of that, LG is enrolled in the Discoup points program. Start the order from this page while signed in and the purchase earns points on your Discoup account, which is our side of the transaction and has nothing to do with your MyLG balance.

Putting an LG promo code into the cart

A code has to go in before the order is submitted, because once it is submitted nothing on it can be changed. LG's own terms describe the final figure as a function of the item's sale price, the discount coupon applied to it if there is one, any event pricing, shipping and applicable taxes, which is a useful order to check the total against once the code has landed.

    1. Copy the code you want from the block of offers above, then head over to LG.
    2. Build the order on lg.com. If you qualify for the Partner Store, sign in there first, because the prices you are comparing are different prices.
    3. Choose delivery, installation and haul-away while the order is being placed. These are decisions, not afterthoughts, for the reason spelled out in the next section.
    4. Open the cart and look to the Order Summary panel, where the field reading "Enter promo code" sits with an Apply button beside it.
    5. Read the revised total before going any further, and read it carefully.

how to apply lg promo code

Step five carries more weight at LG than at most stores, and what makes it heavy sits in the terms, not on the checkout screen. LG states that it does not allow changes, additions, removals or modifications to any part of an order once it has been placed, and that a revision means canceling and buying again. That applies to the address and the contact details as much as to the items. A code that failed quietly, a missing installation service or a mistyped street number are all fixed the same expensive way, so the minute spent checking the total is the cheapest minute of the whole purchase.

Worth knowing, too: the price you are working from is not frozen. LG's terms say that its prices can change at any time without notice, while adding that an order already submitted is not affected by a later change, and that if the advertised price and the final price differ you are told and given the chance to confirm or cancel. A code that looks weaker than it did yesterday may be sitting on a price that moved underneath it.

Delivery, installation and the site-readiness problem

LG states that shipping and handling fees are included with your order unless something else is indicated at the time of purchase, so across most of the catalog the delivery line is not where the money goes. Where it goes instead is into the difference between two delivery methods that both get described as free.

Home appliance orders and televisions of 55 inches and larger are handled as major appliances, delivered by a third-party carrier and scheduled with you by phone, email or text. Everything else arrives as a curbside drop-off, Monday through Friday, and LG is explicit about where that stops: the carrier delivers to the curbside of the property only, lift-gates are provided at no charge, and you are responsible for placing the unit inside your home. On a stick vacuum that is a detail. On anything with a compressor in it, it is a Saturday and two neighbors.

Installation and haul-away, where they are included, may be scheduled as a second appointment rather than delivered with the item, so the plan for the old machine needs to survive a gap. And the installers work from a published list of things they will not do. LG excludes hardwire installation, side venting and propane conversion from its installation service, says its team will not install a new product onto an existing one, will not carry beyond two flights of stairs, will not modify the home in any way, and cannot work with exposed wires or with rusted, corroded or copper shut-off valves. For a room-of-choice delivery the team will not unbox the unit, take doors off or alter the house to get it through, and LG puts the responsibility for measuring doors and entryways on the buyer, with the product measured in its box rather than out of it.

The sentence that turns all of that into money is the one about a site that is not ready: LG states it will not reimburse out-of-pocket expenses in that situation. A corroded valve found on the morning of the delivery is a plumber, a rescheduled appointment and, if the window slips far enough, a canceled installation on an appliance you already own. Reading the installation terms posted on the checkout page before ordering is the version of this that costs nothing. The counterweight, and it is a fair one, is that LG says you are entitled to a refund for a paid service it did not provide.

Before the cart is built at all, two limits are worth checking against your address. LG does not deliver to P.O. boxes, to addresses outside the 48 contiguous states, which it spells out as excluding Alaska, Hawaii and all United States territories, or to APO, DPO and FPO addresses. And rescheduling is finite: LG allows a one-time change of delivery date through your account, and states that its carriers will not hold an order for more than 30 days, after which the order goes back and is refunded.

Return windows, restocking and bundle math

Return windows at LG are not one window. Laptops and vacuums get the longest one, the general catalog gets a shorter one, and outlet-priced products get the shortest of the three. A late return is not simply refused: LG accepts returns after the window up to an outer limit and deducts a restocking fee from the refund instead, provided the product comes back undamaged and in its original unmarked packaging. The exact days and the exact percentage sit in LG's terms of purchase, which is the contract, and they are the first things to check on a product family you have not bought before.

Three of LG's rules here are absolute rather than graduated, and each one closes a door. Products sold as refurbished or as-is are not eligible for return at all. A return needs a pre-approved return authorization number before it ships, and LG says that anything shipped without one comes back to you with no refund processed. And visible damage has to be dealt with at the doorstep and not after the truck has gone: LG asks you to refuse a damaged order or have the driver note the damaged box, and to record carton damage on the bill of lading you sign at delivery. Loss and damage claims run on a short clock measured in days from delivery, and LG may ask for photographs.

Then there is the arithmetic that catches people who bought a package rather than an appliance, and it is the strongest argument on this page for deciding before you order rather than after. LG states that if you cancel or return part of a promotion bundle, the value of the discount you received is deducted from your refund, and that this can result in no refund being issued at all. A product that came free inside a bundle brings no refund when it goes back on its own. Kitchen packages, laundry pairs and television-with-soundbar sets are exactly where the deepest cuts on LG.com live, and they are also the orders where sending one piece back does not give you back what the label on that piece says.

Buying from LG: the practical questions

I found the same model cheaper somewhere else. Will LG match that price?

It will not, and LG says so in writing rather than leaving it to a support conversation. Its terms of purchase state that LG does not offer price matching on its store and does not guarantee that it will honor lower prices presented at any time there or by other websites or retailers. That is useful to know early, because it means the comparison shopping has to happen before you buy rather than in the days after, when at another retailer a phone call might still have been worth making.

Part of my order is missing, or it showed up damaged. How long do I have?

Days, not weeks. LG wants to hear about a loss within five days of delivery, and about damage within the same five days, and says it may require photo proof of the damage. It also warns that if the delivery provider can show proof of delivery, no refund is processed. That leads to two habits: photograph anything questionable while the driver is still there, and do not leave a sealed box unopened for two weeks because the appliance is not going in until the kitchen is finished.

Do MyLG Rewards points run out, and can I cash them out?

They do run out, and no. LG states that rewards expire five years after their issue date, that they cannot be exchanged for cash, and that they are only redeemable on LG.com and not on LG products bought anywhere else. Everything LG sells on its own site can be paid for with points, with one exception it names: subscriptions.

I placed the order and spotted a mistake a minute later. Can I still stop it?

For an hour, yes. LG states that an order may be canceled up to one hour after it is submitted, through your online account or by calling its support line, and that once the order has shipped it can no longer be canceled at all, leaving a return as the only route. That hour is the entire margin for a wrong address, a missing installation service or a code that never registered, which is why it pays to check before the order goes in rather than after.

What happens if I join the paid ownership program and never use it?

LG offers a full refund within 30 days of purchase provided none of the benefits have been used, and it names free accessories, repair services and reward points as the ones that count. Cancel after that window and no refund is issued, but the automatic renewal is turned off and the benefits run to the end of the year already paid for. The membership renews on its own by default, which is the part worth putting on a calendar.
